Old friends

Yuck

Not that I would suggest it to anyone, but I found quite a few of my friends on mySpace the other day. I had 5 minutes to waste and that's exactly what I did, wasted it. Simple searches turned up the people from my past, from high school. They were great friends, from what I remember, but we didn't have the common interest in Jesus. I suppose that's why I hadn't heard from any of them or even really wanted to see them again. I'd like to make an effort to reconnect with them and share what God has been doing in my life. Hopefully God will open up some doors for that.

It's discouraging to see how strong a hold that Satan has on the non-believers. What seemed like friendship and honest care back then, has now turned into loneliness, sex, and beer, from what I found on mySpace. It's sad, but all the more reason that someone needs to tell them about Jesus. I wish I hadn't been curious, because now I'm heartbroken. I wonder if I had truely been faithful in my early years as a follower of Jesus, if I might have had a greater impact on their lives.

Live out your faith today, because a kind word or meaningful encounter with someone you know, might truely change that person's life for eternity.
